FOODIES are in for a treat with a new CosMc’s rolling out in Dallas, Texas.
McDonald’s announced the opening of its newest spinoff location following the successful launch of its first iteration in Illinois.
McDonald’s previously shared plans to open 10 new CosMc’s locations across the South and Midwest.
Its first 2,800-square-foot Illinois-based location opened with a chaotic start, long lines, and high customer traffic.
Now the fast food chain’s offshoot has spread its roots to the Lone Star State.
This follows the franchise’s strategic choice to offer “entry meal affordable options” at some stores.
ALL ABOUT COSMC’S
CosMc’s opened in December 2023 as a retro small-format restaurant for food patrons on the go.
The offshoot chain is inspired by the brand’s McDonaldland mascot from the 1980s of the same name.
CosMc is an outer space alien whose love for McDonald’s is out of this world.
The spinoff includes new drink menu items paired with beloved breakfast orders from the company.
FOODIES REACT
Fans of the fast food giant shared their enthusiasm over Dallas gaining a new location.
“I’m ready for CosMcs to expand,” one user wrote on X. “I want to try it so bad.”
“Interested to see if the drive thru lines are as long in Texas,” said another.
Some patrons pleaded with the company to debut locations in other cities.
“Why would ya’ll open a location in Dallas before Houston?” one person asked on Instagram.
Other commenters begged the business to expand into Alabama and Georgia.
If the current CosMc’s locations thrive, McDonald’s is expected to expand their geographical footprint.
EATS & TREATS
Customers can sip on different beverage options or munch on the new snacks.
The Dallas menu will include several new iced drinks:
- Beach Protein Frappé (banana-flavored)
- Churro Cold Brew Frappé (whipped cream, cinnamon sprinkles)
- Mellon Herb Chiller (watermelon mint lemonade)
- Sour Cherry Energy Burst (fruity popping boba slushy)
CosMc’s said on its website that innovation in the beverage department is a key component of its menu.
“CosMc’s menu is rooted in beverage exploration with bold and unexpected flavor combinations, vibrant colors and functional boosts,” it said.
Bite-sized snack options include:
- Savory Hash Brown Bites
- Pretzel Bites
- Snack box with gouda cheese, sliced pepperoni, almonds, flax seed crackers, and cranberries
- Cookie Butter McPops
- Apple Cinnamon McPops
- Hazel Bag McPops
Some items returning from McDonald’s are the classic Egg McMuffin with sausage and bacon options, and an Oreo or M&M McFlurry.
The chain also seems to be applying a request for all-day breakfast after fans were dissatisfied over limited morning-meal hours.
Sandwich lovers can satisfy their lunch cravings with a spicy queso sandwich or avocado tomatillo sandwich.
The U.S. Sun contacted McDonald’s for a comment on its menu options.
PIZZA THAT
McDonald’s isn’t the only mega grub hub experimenting with new menu items.
Chick-fil-A recently began offering six new pizza options, but fans were disgusted by one ingredient.
Three of the chain’s pizzas are more traditional flavors including cheese, pepperoni, and meats with veggies.
Buff-lo-Ranch Pizza Pie is an additional menu item with creamy house-made ranch dressing.
But some fans were perplexed by Chick-fil-A’s choice to include pickles on a pizza.
“They lost me with the pickles,” one fan posted on Facebook.
“I can’t wait to never try this,” another one said.
