A WELLS Fargo client was livid after the bank closed their business account of 30 years without bothering to call him.
The customer, Paul, vented on Facebook and said the bank penalized him for an address discrepancy.

“Wells Fargo Bank just screwed me,” Paul wrote, explaining how there was an error listed for their apartment unit.
Paul said he was sent mail from Wells Fargo about something unrelated, although the bank had said it would send information.
“Anyway, why would they send mail if they thought they had [the] wrong address?”
He said the branch tried to undo the closure and couldn’t find a fix.
BANK BYE
“Today I removed most of [the] money and I’m going to another bank,” Paul said.
He claimed Wells Fargo didn’t just close his account but also locked his debit card, which he used for auto payments and subscriptions.
“It’s a nightmare,” he wrote.
Fortunately, Paul said he had two other bank accounts.
He mentioned wanting to take legal action for negligence.
“We used to deal with people at the bank,” Paul wrote.
“Now the bankers serve the computer and the computer makes all the decisions and regardless your branch can’t help you.”
Wells Fargo did not immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.
THE COMMENTS
Facebook users flooded the comment section of Paul’s post to offer advice or describe similar experiences.
“They screwed me over big time when I lived in LA,” one person wrote.

“Wells Fargo Bank is the worst,” another person said.
“Chase is the way to go. Never an issue.”

FARGO FACTS
According to Wells Fargo’s business deposit account agreement, the bank can close an account at any time.
If an account is shuttered, Wells Fargo can mail the remaining balance to the client or credit it to another account.
Accounts with a zero balance can still be charged applicable fees until the client requests to have their account closed.
All electronic banking privileges are halted for a Wells Fargo member if their account is closed besides the following:
- Viewing account activity
- Downloading statements and tax documents
- Performing “limited maintenance functions” at least 90 days after the closure
A Wells Fargo client can close their account if it’s in good standing with no negative balance.
If a client thinks there’s an address error listed on their account, they can call 1-877-805-7744 for assistance.
BANK BLUNDERS
Wells Fargo isn’t the only bank hearing complaints, as Bank of America has also faced criticism.
Another Facebook user said they had fraud on their account and lost $48,234.
She said she eventually got her money back but was hacked again and still waiting for her $2,000.
She also noted she has accounts with different banks and hadn’t yet ever experienced the issue.
One Chase client said he’s been fighting the bank for months to get his money.
