SONIC lovers who prefer salty treats over sweets are in luck.
The fast food and drive-in chain has unveiled a new craving perfect for french fry fans.
Starting in May, Groovy Fries will hit Sonic menus nationwide just in time for summer, marking the chain’s first fry update in 10 years.
The crispy crinkle fries include a savory Groovy Sauce with creamy ranch, herbs, and sriracha spice.
Sonic foodies couldn’t contain their excitement on social media.
“Yum!” one Facebook user wrote. “Everyone needs to try the new fries and that groovy sauce.”
FABULOUS FRIES
Mackenzie Gibson, Sonic’s VP of Culinary & Menu Innovation, said the Groovy Fries offer a different option from the chain’s bite-sized Sonic tots.
“Our Sonic Tots are iconic, but we thought it was time to give them some competition,” Gibson said.
“With the new Groovy Fries, we’re redefining what a fast food fry can be and giving folks another reason to say yes, I would like fries with that!”
The U.S. Sun contacted Sonic requesting a comment since prices will vary by location.
Plus, Sonic teased plans to roll out more crave-worthy items in the months ahead.
OREO OASIS
Foodies who prefer to indulge in desserts can pick from two delectable and creamy Sonic Oreo-inspired treats.
Cheesecake lovers will be happy too.
The Oreo Big Scoop Cheesecake Sundae and Oreo Big Scoop Cheesecake Blast hit Sonic drive-ins in April, but only for a limited-time.
June 2 will be the last day to fill your taste buds with Oreo delight.
The chilled sweets include Oreo cookie pieces, vanilla soft serve, and cheesecake flavoring, topped with an Oreo Cheesecake scoop.
An Oreo Big Scoop Cheesecake Sundae costs $3.99 before taxes.
Customers can grab a medium Oreo Big Scoop Cheesecake Blast for $4.99.
